We have a variety of different printable mesh available at FenceWrap because we view it that each type of mesh is suitable to a different type of application. As such, we don’t see it that one is “better” than another, it is just that one is more suited to a particular application than another.
This is the industry standard when people talk about printable mesh. This is because shade cloth mesh is generally the cheapest and easiest mesh to print. But as all cheap things, there is a catch.
The shade cloth printable mesh does not produce high quality, vibrant prints. This basically comes down to the fact that it doesn’t have a flat surface for printing and that it also allows a relatively large amount of light and air to pass through it.
Based on its long life outdoors though, we suggest people choose shade cloth mesh when using FenceWrap for construction sites and long term outdoor use on a tempoary fence. In this application, allow air to pass easily is a good thing because it will prevent the fence from tipping over.
Our fabric mesh is another type of printable mesh that we offer. The main benefit of fabric mesh is that it provides a great surface to print on and produces a very high quality and vibrant print. This makes it ideal for someone who wants to print a photo or a full image rather than just a simple company logo or the such.
Fabric mesh however is not as suited to constant outdoor use like Shade Cloth Mesh or PVC Banner Mesh and basically this just comes down to the fact that it is a fabric rather than a plastic based vinyl. This is not however to say it’s not suitable to outdoor use, but it is more suited to someone who uses their printable mesh occasionally for week long periods at a time.
This is the best quality printable mesh when considering a mesh that you want to have spend a lot of time outdoors and in the sun. Due to it having a perfectly flat surface, it will produce very high quality prints that will rival the fabric mesh in quality and visibility.
As expected though, with the higher quality print of the PVC banner mesh comes a slightly higher price per square meter. But again, like mentioned earlier, it needs to be taken into consideration what your application is for your printable mesh, and if it is one where you really want to stand out and look great, the extra investment in this mesh will pay for itself.
