Things to Consider When Buying Shade Cloths

Here at FenceWrap, we have a number of different options and there are a few things to consider when looking for the perfect fencing solution. In determining what shade cloths are perfect for you, we’ll look at things such as budget, location/climate, printing required and block-out required.

Budget

As with anything, budget plays a major role in buying shade cloths. We have different fabrics to suit everyone. The shade cloths have different grades which change with price. We then have a polyester mesh for the mid range budget and the PVC for those with a little more to spend. We also have printing options for the printing to suit every budget.

Location/Climate

To ensure you get the most out of your shade cloths, you need to consider the climate and location you are using it in. The shade cloth range is perfectly suited to long term, outdoor use as it is quite durable and hard wearing. The PVC is also great for long term outdoor use. It is a heavy duty fabric and will last years and years in some of the harshest weather conditions. The polyester mesh however, is a softer, more light weight material. This is better suited to sheltered use such as in shopping complexes, under ground car parks or covered construction sites. It will last around 12 months outside until you see some fading etc  but will be more effected by UV light than the shade cloths.

Printing Required

We have two different printing options available for your shade cloths; block print and full print. The block printing is the most common option and also the cheapest. It involves repeating a simple logo/image/graphic or text on a plain white background. It is simple and effective, allowing the design to really stand out. We then have the ‘full print’. This print can be anything you want. As many colours, logos, photos, graphics, details as you desire. You can let your imagination run wild with the full print. Although the standard shade cloth provides a great print, the polyester mesh and the PVC are the best fabric choices for a full vibrant , detailed print as the material surface allows for the best quality. We also offer non printed shade cloth.

Block-out Required

Some construction or renovation sites require full coverage from elements such as light and wind. The best option for this is the 100% PVC. No light or wind will pass through this fabric. The PVC mesh, polyester mesh and shade cloth, which is available in both 50% and 70% grades have little holes allowing air and light to pass through. this can be good to lighten the load on the fence on extremely windy days.
